
Chronic Illness and pain are conditions that last more than 3 months. It cannot be treated or cured but it can be managed to increase quality of life. Theses chronic conditions typically cause restrictions in daily activities which decreases an individual’s quality of life. A chronic illness or pain can cause many emotional symptoms which can also cause more physical symptoms. This could create an ongoing cycle of physical flares if the emotional symptoms are never treated.
